- Ask God for ForgivenessWe cannot have heaven and eternal life without God's forgiveness. That forgiveness is provided to us through Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1:7 says, "In Him (meaning Jesus), we have Redemption through His blood for the forgiveness of sin."
- God's Forgiveness is Available to All Who AskGod's forgiveness is available for all and all means everyone. John 3:16 tells us that "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life." Even though forgiveness is available to us all; it is not automatic. In Matthew 7:21 Jesus says, "not everyone who says unto me Lord, shall inherit the kingdom of Heaven."
- It is Not Possible to Enter Into Heaven with SinIt is impossible for God to allow sin into Heaven. Romans 3:23 tells us that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. So how then does a sinful person get into heaven?
- Turn to JesusYou must turn from sin and self and turn to Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 tells us that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures. He was buried and rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures. - Admit that you are a sinnger and in need of a Savior
- Believe that Jesus is the sinless Son of God and that He died on the cross for your sins.
- Commit your life to ChristUnderstanding what has just been shared with you, would you like to accept Jesus Christ into your life as your personal Savior.
O God, I come to You, thanking You for loving me in spite of my sinning against You. I confess that I have sinned, and I know that my sin has come between us. I believe Jesus died on the cross for my sin and that He rose again from the dead. I embrace what Jesus did for me, knowing I could never save myself. Jesus, I receive You into my life.
