Chad, in his 4th year of racing, rides a 2005 Ducati 800 SS and competes in the WERA Sportsman Series. Here's the latest from Chad... "Last weekend I continued to contest the WERA mid Atlantic sportsman series at Nelsen Ledges. Nelsen Ledges is my least favorite track and I was not looking forward to racing there. Saturday morning we arrived at the track to pouring rain. I went out for one practice session in the rain and then decided that I would sit out and wait for it to stop raining as there were not points to be earned on Saturday and rain practice was not going to help me in the dry which was forecast for Sunday. I was hoping that it would stop raining Saturday so I could get in some much needed dry practice but that did not happen. On Sunday I woke up to a cloudy but rainless sky. I was able to get in 2 dry practice sessions in the morning. During lunch I was able to lead the Chapel service as there was no Chaplin in attendance. Sunday afternoon I was able to continually get faster lap times until in the last race I was able to run a 1:17 which was the fastest I had ever ran a Nelson by 4 seconds and I was starting to actually enjoy racing at nelson. I ended up with a 2nd in DSB, 6th in LWT SB, and 8th in F2. For the season I am now 2nd in points in DSB and 5th in LWT SB and feel like things are looking good for the season and I am looking forward to my next race June 7-8 at Summit Point. Thanks for the support. Gaston County Toy Run - Parkwood & Hopewell Chapters Gastonia, NC Hopewell and Parkwood serving together at the Gaston County Toy Run.
